n conjunction with our second year cooperation with PERSAGI (Indonesian Nutrition Association), during 12-13 November 2009 PT Ajinomoto Indonesia participated in National Congress of Nutrition Exhibition at Gramedia Expo Center-Surabaya. In our exhibition booth, we distributed book and leaflet about MSG safety and Umami in addition to soup taste testing and selling activities. On November 13th, 2009 Ajinomoto exclusively provided an international speaker: Dr. Kunio Torii from Ajinomoto Co.,Inc./Life Science Institute who presented "Glutamate Signaling in Gut and Brain Function" to nutritionist from all over Indonesia. Almost 1300 nutritionists participated in this congress.AJI-NO-MOTO® is seasoning made by fermentation process of selected sugarcane drops as the main ingredient. Complying with international standard and under license of Ajinomoto Co., Inc., Japan as the first company to have ever produced seasoning, since 1909. AJI-NO-MOTO® has been used widely by mothers and housewives in more than 100 countries, to enhance the savory taste of each cooking, such as soup, stir-fried, fried and many varieties of food.
